Real Estate Investors (LSE-RLE) is a UK midlands based property REIT run by a man named Paul Bassi. Mr Bassi is the sort of individual you would want to have to run every single one of your companies, a shrewd, cool, highly-intelligent guy whom nobody is going to get the better of. The s.p. of RLE fell back a few pence a short while ago, after what appeared to be a sizeable year-end portfolio adjustment, and can now be bought (at the time of writing) at about 57p, down from a year high of about 63.5p. They yield about 4.73p, paid quarterly. The latest broker forecast is for a target price of 70p (LIberum Capital; Jan.18) . BUY.
For: Nice and increasing yield, paid quarterly; very effective CEO; not centred on London.
Against: Could be hit by a recession; or by a bad Brexit result.
